General Guarantee

All items advertised on this web site are of original period manufacture unless specifically stated otherwise in the item description.

Where we have provided provenance, this has been done in good faith based on research we have carried out from reputable sources and information previously passed to us. If we are uncertain of part of an items history then this is made clear in its description with terms such as "probably" or "highly likely".

If you have reason to dispute the description of any item on the site then please contact us with your concerns. We are always happy to potentially learn more about any item on our site.

If upon receipt of an item you have reason to dispute the description or are dissatisfied for any reason then you must contact us and return the item within 14 working days of receipt. The item can be returned to us, provided that it is returned in the same condition as which it was sent. We will then provide a full refund of the purchase price but not the return postage. If a problem is not notified to us within this time, then the item is considered as being sold.

Ownership

All the firearms on this website are classified as antique in the UK and Northern Ireland. Antique arms and arms of obsolete calibre are exempt under "section 58 (2) of the 1968 Firearms Act to be held as a curiosity or ornament". See Chapter 8 of this Home Office document.

No certificate is therefore required for ownership in the UK or Northern Ireland provided they are held as a curiosity or as ornaments.

The antique firearms on this website are also classified as Historical and Collectible Weapons and Category 8 Firearms in The Weapon Categories of the Defence Code (Article L-2331-1) under French Firearms Regulations. Therefore they do not require a licence for ownership in France.

All antique firearms are sold strictly as a curiosity or ornament for their historical significance.

Age Restriction

Notwithstanding the above terms about owning antique arms, no orders shall be accepted from persons under the age of 18 for any items on this website. By accepting these terms and conditions, buyers are deemed to be over 18yrs old. However, we reserve the right to ask buyers for proof of age.
